I love the weekend!!!

I have always enjoyed the weekend, but now that I am a “grownup” I relish these two days more than I ever thought possible. This past weekend was GREAT!  First and foremost we had another buddy race this weekend, AND…..the boys won first place!!! Here are a few pictures from Saturday.

Also this weekend we celebrated Father’s Day. I have been immensely blessed by the fathers in my life. First and foremost my dad, he is AMAZING!!!

33435_529327612414_135302954_31085159_4883830_nMy dad has taught me so much about serving, loving my family and being just down right humble.  He works so hard and does so much, and I am thankful to be his daughter.

I am grateful to have gotten the years I did with him and I can’t wait to see him again in glory.

Last night we went to Grandview Pines Baptist Church where he still serves as the song leader, and I felt very proud to be his granddaughter.

I have been immensely blessed with men in my life who love the Lord and serve him wholeheartedly. I have so much love for them and can’t believe how lucky I am to have them.  This weekend was full of fun and people I love, just another reason why weekends are my favorite!

5 things i love about today

1.This morning we had a yard sale….Yard Sale= $ This isn’t our yard sale, but I wish I had been to this one so I could buy those blue boots and be all TSwift with my sundress.

3. I also got to use buttons. I love buttons. I wish I had fancy jars of buttons to use at will, but who wants to buy them?

4. I used my buttons and paint and made this little lovely for Drew and I.

5. We had Costco pizza for dinner. I have been attempting to eat healthy, drink water and exercise all week. I needed a break and Costco pizza was cheap and yummy.

“I won't be wronged, I won't be insulted, and I won't be laid a hand on. I don't do these things to other people and I expect the same from them." -John Wayne (The Shootist)

Ok so as you can probably guess if I were to pick out a movie for Drew and I to watch, I would most likely pick a chick flick or a romantic comedy. Blood and guts are not my thing, and thank goodness that I didn’t marry a boy who loves horror movies…NO THANK YOU!!! Real life is scary enough. That being said I did marry a boy who loves a good Western. I am going to go ahead and admit that this would not be something that I would generally sit down and thoroughly enjoy, but AMC had a John Wayne marathon this weekend and I decided to take one for the team. Rather than sitting down and vegging all day, I made use of my friend the DVR and recorded the whole thing. And thus the gun slinging and cattle roping began. We began our journey with the original “True Grit” and the last one we watched was “El Dorado” I think we have a few more to watch, but let me tell you this girl is sold. Who knew John Wayne was so awesome? I never thought I would be a lover of Westerns, but I also never thought I would enjoy watching dirt bike races and hunting either. That being said, if you are skeptical about horse riding, gun toting, cowboy and indian type movies, sit down and watch a John Wayne movie…you might just be surprised.

I have been a busy girl!

Ok I know I have been a little absent from the blog world, but I have been a crafting fool these past few weeks. My online classes keep beckoning me, but they require little attention and making crafts just seems so much more important. I think crafting helps me in reaching the status of domestic goddess, right? Sorry boutcha Criminal Justice/Anthropology classes. (I will probably regret this mindset say mid-July when I have finals for these classes) Anyway here are a few things I have been doing…

This is just a small sampling of some of the things I have been doing. As you can see I have been a busy girl, I hope to post more about life and everything else very soon.
